We are seeking Masters-level clinicians (licensed or license-eligible) to join our Immediate Response Team. This position plays a vital role in delivering short-term trauma-focused therapy crisis intervention and community-based mental health services for children and families throughout Richmond and surrounding areas.
The Immediate Response Clinician also participates in a monthly on-call rotation to provide in-person or phone-based psychological first aid through our 24/7 crisis line. An on-call stipend is provided during active on-call weeks.
Provide trauma-informed therapy to children and families ages 217 using modalities such as CBT art therapy play therapy sand tray therapy attachment work and de-escalation techniques.
Deliver psychotherapeutic and case management services aligned with DBHDS and DMAS standards.
Develop and implement individual family and group treatment interventions where applicable.
Participate in monthly on-call rotation for crisis response support via our 24/7 line.
Collaborate with community partners and schools to conduct outreach training and prevention efforts.
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and compliance with Medicaid HIPAA DSS LHRC and other regulatory requirements.
Contribute to organizational cultural competence equity and inclusion efforts.
Work closely with supervisors and the Mental Health Leadership Team to maintain clinical quality and mission alignment
Masters Degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or a related human services field.
License-eligible in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Supervisee in Social Work or Resident in Counseling).
Valid VA drivers license and ability to be insured under agency policy.
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within required timeframe).
Experience working with children and families from a trauma-informed care perspective.
Must meet additional requirements as defined by DMAS or applicable licensure standards.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
Prior experience with crisis response or on-call work
Strong documentation and time management skills
Excellent communication and community engagement abilities.
