Description

Join Learning Grove a premier nonprofit early childhood education provider in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky as an Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher. With over 40 years of dedicated service our centers nurture children ages 6 weeks through 6 years in beautiful high-quality classrooms. In this role you will work alongside lead teachers and center directors to bring dynamic learning plans to life. Using the principles of Constructivist Theory and a focus on social-emotional learning you will help create an engaging safe and stimulating environment that supports the critical developmental stages of our young learners.

Job Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
    • Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
    • Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with consistent daily implementation and support from the Director/Assistant Director.

  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Proficient in classroom management using positive redirection problem-solving setting appropriate limits and active listening.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective parent communications and team collaboration.
    • Commitment to upholding equity diversity and inclusivity in education.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program families children and staff.

  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to sit stand walk bend and lift objects up to 20 pounds.
    • Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

  • Student Engagement:

    • Engage in ongoing communication with parents and caregivers while participating in team meetings to ensure cohesive classroom management.

  • Adherence to Standards:
    • Uphold Learning Groves quality standards ensuring that all activities and interactions align with state rating systems and our high-quality educational philosophy.
