Position Overview:
As a plumbing apprentice youll be an integral part of our construction team. Working directly under licensed journeyman plumbers youll gain hands-on experience installing maintaining and repairing plumbing systems including gas water and drainage lines in compliance with all building codes. This role is designed to help you progress toward earning your journeyman license and eventually mentoring future apprentices.
Applicants must have completed 480 hours at an approved Arkansas Plumbing School.
Key Duties:
Assist with the installation repair modification and upkeep of plumbing fixtures and piping systems per code
Learn to recognize and address safety and electrical hazards
Perform corrective actions to resolve identified issues
Study and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Fill out and submit quality assurance checklists
Support and track multiple job assignments at once
Participate in evening apprenticeship classes weekly until licensure is obtained
Coordinate with subcontractors assigned to the site
Contribute to developing and maintaining project timelines
Receive and apply direction from senior staff
Gain exposure to all stages of plumbing and basic electrical processes
Candidate Requirements:
Strong leadership potential and ability to motivate peers
Consistent production of high-quality workmanship
Clear and professional communication with builders GCs and site supervisors
Familiarity with standard tools techniques and procedures in the plumbing trade
Willingness to take direction and learn continuously
High school diploma or GED
Valid drivers license
Dependable with a strong daily work ethic
Availability to work from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and some Saturdays as needed
