Job Description

THE ROLE: The Sr. Manager Manufacturing Quality will be responsible of Xylems Water Solutions & Services (WSS) quality tools processes procedures and initiatives to reduce the Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ) within the segments manufacturing facilities. This role will be responsible for leading quality assurance control and warranty management for our products and services. The incumbent will establish and maintain quality standards drive continuous improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product/service reliability customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Maintain systems to evaluate document and ensure quality processes and practices are implemented across WSS manufacturing
  • Develop processes to evaluate theeffectiveness of quality tools processes and practices
  • Support quality systems and certifications established under International Organization for Standardization (ISO) among others
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defect rates
  • Oversee warranty programs policies and procedures to ensure prompt and effective resolution of warranty claims
  • Implement COPQ control strategies and drive initiatives to extend product reliability and lifecycle
  • Ensure all products and processes meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Identify and develop quality programs and systems to support Xylems markets and practices including strategic use of quality certification programs to support market/practice growth and/or diversification
  • Lead mentor and develop a high-performing a manufacturing quality team
  • Foster a high impact culture of accountability empowerment continuous improvement and customer focus within the team
  • Use data insights to make recommendations for process adjustments and product improvements
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Quality Management or other related field
  • 4-5 experience in quality assurance quality control or warranty management
  • Proven track record in driving improvements in product reliability and warranty cost management
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing or related quality certifications
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational expertise.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

The physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting standing light lifting up to 25 lbs. In addition this role may require 20-30% travel and standard working hours of 40 per week.
