Whats your day like

As a Full Time Intake Representative-Infusion Department at HME Specialists you will play a vital role in our Home Infusion Therapy (HIT) Specialists division offering customized home infusion therapy services to our valued patients. This position entails performing thorough benefit verifications of all patient insurance plans documenting coverage for medications supplies and related infusion services. You will calculate estimated patient financial responsibilities initiate prior authorizations and communicate updates with patients and referral sources.

Your dedication to empathetic service will shine as you assist patients in navigating their insurance needs further reinforcing HMEs commitment to community well-being. Located in Albuquerque NM this onsite role operates Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime as required. Requirements for this Intake Representative-Infusion job

To excel as a Full Time Intake Representative-Infusion Department at HME Specialists you will need a unique blend of skills and experience tailored to the medical supply industry. A strong background in home infusion including familiarity with referrals benefit verifications and authorizations is highly preferred. Candidates with at least two years of medical intake or reimbursement experience will thrive in this role. A working knowledge of Medicare Medicaid and managed care reimbursement guidelines is essential as is the ability to interpret payor contract fee schedules effectively.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong capacity to multi-task managing numerous referrals while maintaining productivity and quality. You must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and possess knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word along with knowledge of CPR will further enhance your success in this position.   • Home Infusion experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with referrals
  • Benefit verifications and authorizations experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of medical intake/reimbursement experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare
  • Medicaid and managed care reimbursement guidelines including ability to interpret payor contract fee schedules based on NDC and HCPCS units.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities while ensuring productivity expectations and quality are met.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Knowledge of CPR preferred.
