Job Description

Title: TOSA: Coordinator for Intensive and Strategic Success

Classification: Licensed

Reports To: Superintendent or Designee

Work Year 220 Days/Year

Job Purpose Statement:

The Coordinator for Intensive and Strategic Success will serve as a district leader and the primary point of contact for Oregon Department of Educations (ODE) Intensive Program at North Wasco School District. This role will focus on applying improvement and implementation science to track and ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives and funding aligned with the Intensive Program recommendations and North Wasco School Districts Student Investment Account. The coordinator will lead cross-functional teams to effectively implement and support district-wide strategies use data-informed methods to monitor progress refine processes and optimize resource allocation. The ultimate goal is to drive sustained success in student outcomes and program development. This position plays a critical role in aligning multiple programs and initiatives fostering collaboration across classrooms schools and the district. It will also address the siloing of efforts and broaden understanding of the Student Investment Account Intensive Program District Strategic Plan and other key district initiatives. There is potential opportunity for hybrid schedule and some remote work.

Job Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree
  • Holds a TSPC Teaching License in the State of Oregon
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an educational setting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role including leading and managing teams and initiatives as well as facilitating meetings
  • Experience serving in a district or building leadership role preferred
  • Ability to work on-site across the district and community based on need
  • Must hold a current recognized first aid card or be willing to obtain the same if directed by the district under ORS 342.664 (2).
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with students parents and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds
  • Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students staff or district patrons
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others

Skills Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:

  • Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment
  • Expertise in meeting facilitation ensuring productive and goal-oriented discussions.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and manage teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Proficient in using data to drive informed decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others in effectively using data to guide decisions and actions.
  • In-depth knowledge of improvement science and implementation science with the ability to apply these frameworks to drive organizational change and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Experience collaborating with community partners to build relationships support initiatives and achieve shared goals.
  • Skilled in coordinating and driving the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects and initiatives within a dynamic environment providing clear direction tracking progress organizing teams and materials and delivering results in alignment with strategic priorities.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Program Leadership and Management:
    1. Serve as the primary district leader and point of contact for the Intensive Program overseeing its implementation and ongoing success.
    2. Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aligned with the Intensive Program and Student Investment Account.
    3. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure district-wide strategies are effectively implemented achieving the desired outcomes for student success and program growth.
    4. Plan coordinate and facilitate Student Success Team meetings.
  2. Data-Informed Decision Making:
    1. Utilize data-informed methodologies to track the progress of strategic initiatives analyze trends and identify areas for improvement.
    2. Monitor key performance indicators assess outcomes and provide actionable insights to refine processes and optimize resource allocation.
    3. Support the development and integration of systems that enable teams to use data to inform decisions and actions across the district.
    4. Provide consistent updates on student data focused on the Integrated guidance outcomes and strategies to all stakeholders including district staff community members the school board and families.
  3. Coaching and Capacity Building:
    1. Coach and mentor district leaders educators and staff in the effective use of data to drive continuous improvement and meet program objectives including but not limited to statewide assessments interim assessments survey data etc.
    2. Provide ongoing support and professional development to foster a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making throughout the district.
  4. Cross-Department Collaboration and Alignment:
    1. Collaborate with district leaders teachers and support staff to align initiatives and ensure consistency across classrooms schools and the district.
    2. Foster collaboration between various departments and programs to break down silos ensuring unified efforts toward achieving strategic goals.
    3. Build strong relationships with community partners to support program initiatives and drive collective impact on student success.
    4. Collaborate with building and District Administrators to improve student achievement through the implementation of programs and strategies to accomplish school and district mission and vision goals.
  5. Improvement and Implementation Science:
    1. Apply principles of improvement science and implementation science to continuously assess and refine the execution of strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with best practices.
    2. Lead efforts to evaluate and adjust implementation strategies ensuring they are responsive to evolving needs and challenges within the district.
  6. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Serve as the key point of contact for stakeholders including school personnel community partners parents and other external partners to foster open communication and transparency around program goals and progress.
    2. Present program updates and progress reports to district leadership boards and community groups ensuring key stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  7. Strategic Resource Allocation:
    1. Oversee the allocation of resources to support the successful implementation of initiatives tied to the Intensive Program and Student Investment Account.
    2. Ensure that resources are distributed effectively across teams programs and schools based on data-driven assessments and priority needs.
  8. Compliance and Accountability:
    1. Ensure the alignment of program initiatives with district policies state regulations and funding requirements maintaining compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
    2. Track and report on the progress of strategic initiatives ensuring accountability for meeting targets and deadlines.
  9. Professional Development and Capacity Building:
    1. Continuously engage in professional learning to stay current with trends in education improvement science and program implementation.
    2. Share best practices tools and resources to strengthen the districts capacity for managing and improving educational programs.
  10. Understanding and Supporting Integrated Programs:
    1. Develop a strong understanding of the districts integrated programs to support effective coordination alignment with district goals and successful application and implementation.
    2. Collaborate across departments to promote coherence reduce duplication and ensure the sustainability and impact of integrated initiatives.
  11. Student-Centered Focus:
    1. Continuously prioritize the enhancement of student outcomes through the alignment of district strategies and resources.
    2. Support efforts that create a positive and inclusive environment for students families and staff ensuring equity and access to educational opportunities for all.
  12. Leading Implementation Teams to Track Outcomes:
    1. Lead and guide implementation teams in the execution of strategic initiatives ensuring all teams are aligned with program goals and timelines.
    2. Oversee the tracking of initiative outcomes ensuring that progress is measured documented and communicated clearly to stakeholders.
    3. Facilitate regular reviews with implementation teams to assess progress identify barriers and make data-informed adjustments to improve the effectiveness and impact of initiatives.
  13. Family/Community Engagement and Workshop Coordination:
    1. Support the planning and implementation of multiple workshops and discussions for family and community to address behavioral challenges improve student safety and enhance social and academic skills development in collaboration with each of the districts elementary schools
    2. Collaborate with school leaders and staff to select relevant topics such as supporting students with math reading at home managing anxiety and fostering success from middle school to high school for the family/community workshops.
    3. Ensure workshops are effectively designed and delivered to provide valuable resources and strategies for families fostering deeper engagement and supporting student success both at school and at home.
