Ranch Hand Live In -American Ranch (Prescott AZ)
Under general supervision of the Barn Supervisor the Live in Lead Ranch Hand will assist the Barn Supervisor with overseeing the quality of care for all equine animals and customer service for equine boarders at the Equestrian Facility. All policies rules and regulations established by the Association shall be strictly enforced by the Lead Ranch Hand to ensure the safety and well-being of all Association horses visitors and users. The Live in Lead Ranch Hand shall immediately notify the Barn Supervisor if they determine that any person or horse endangers the health and safety of other horses or people. The Ranch Hand will maintain appropriate records with the Supervisor on all feed change requests service requests and maintenance. Pay depends upon experience. Beautiful upgraded 1 bedroom 1 bath with in unit washer dryer all utilities and WiFi some furnishings included as part of compensation. Minimum 40 hours per week holidays and weekends required nightly inspections required. No animals are allowed.
Qualifications:
Equestrian farm or ranch experience required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Experience with supervision of staff. Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Able to operate a tractor and other ranch equipment. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly.
Responsibilities:
Minimum 40 hours per week weekends and holidays required perform nightly barn inspections required.
Always support the American Ranch Equestrian Center Managers goals and objectives. Feed and water animals. Mucking stalls as required per provided schedule. See to the needs of the community Boarders and clients. Care for all Equine Boarders using appropriate methods set forth by the Manager and Board of Directors. Perform regular maintenance and tasks associated with running an Equestrian Center. Assist in supervising staff. Assist contractors and vendors called to site if the Equestrian Center Manager or Community Manager are not available. Field calls and texts. Maintain accurate records of daily tasks occurrences and repairs. Attend to minor medical care of equine. Acknowledge and alert manager of any incidents regarding staff facilities people and/or horses.This is not a full list of duties.
Additional Job Duties may include but are not limited to:
Water and drag arenas and turnouts. Turnout horses as pre-requested by Boarders. Blanket horses as pre-requested by Boarders. Document all daily facility and equipment inspections with Equestrian Center Manager and report any discrepancies immediately to the Equestrian Center Manager. Document all incidents relating to the equine animals Boarders Vendors or Ranch Hands immediately and communicate to Manager. Train any new and/or current staff the Equestrian Center standard of care and operations if the Equestrian Center Manager is not available.This is not a full list of duties.
