Role Overview:
As a key member of Coupangs India operations you will lead all outbound immigration activities ensuring seamless coordination and compliance with global mobility standards. Youll manage end-to-end immigration workflows including vendor oversight document legalization and visa processing while identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery through new partnerships and technologies. Collaborating with Coupangs global teams and internal stakeholders youll drive process improvements maintain regulatory compliance and ensure a smooth supportive experience for employees and their families navigating international assignments. Your role will be pivotal in enabling talent mobility and supporting Coupangs global growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all India-outbound immigration matters.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of immigration applications ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Manage the document legalization process ensuring all necessary documents are authenticated and legalized efficiently.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for local offices of global vendors to expedite immigration processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Identify and source new local vendors including visa service companies to test and implement more efficient service delivery models.
  • Evaluate the performance of new vendors and integrate them into the existing vendor network if successful.
  • Liaise with Global Immigration Global Mobility Global Business Travel HR Legal and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of immigration processes.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the status of immigration cases and any issues or challenges encountered.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Continuously review and improve immigration processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Implement new technologies and tools to streamline immigration workflows.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations and ensure the organization remains compliant.
  • Ensure a positive experience for candidates and employees throughout the immigration process.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and their families on immigration-related matters.
  • Address any concerns or issues raised by employees promptly and effectively.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by Leadership and as needed to fulfil Functional or Business needs and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Law Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in global immigration with a focus on India-outbound immigration.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration laws and regulations in APAC and key destination countries.
  • Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and sourcing new vendors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in using immigration management software and tools.
