We are looking for a seasoned SMT Production Manager to lead and enhance our client’s surface-mount technology manufacturing operations in JohorMalaysia. This position entails overseeing production timelines maintaining quality standards and driving process enhancements to boost operational efficiency and output. Drawing on a solid background in electronics manufacturing and a minimum of 8 years of SMT experience the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance coordinating with suppliers and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Strong organizational abilities and effective project management skills are crucial for thriving in this role.
Responsibilities:
Manage the SMT manufacturing workflow covering tasks such as component placement soldering and quality inspection.
Create production timelines manage resource allocation and ensure on-time completion and delivery of SMT assemblies.
Enhance operational efficiency reduce equipment downtime and drive continuous process enhancements.
Ensure quality control in SMT assembly processes uphold product quality implement corrective measures when necessary and maintain compliance with customer requirements.
Perform routine audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards.
Manage equipment maintenance calibration and troubleshooting operations.
Keep informed about industry developments new technologies and leading practices in SMT assembly.
Offer direction assistance and constructive feedback to maintain a capable and motivated team.
Work closely with suppliers and vendors to procure SMT components equipment and materials.
Assess supplier performance handle contract negotiations and maintain relationships to guarantee timely deliveries and cost efficiency.
Develop and apply strategies to improve processes boosting SMT production efficiency yield and quality.
Perform data analysis apply statistical process control (SPC) techniques and lead ongoing improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and certifications related to SMT assembly processes (e.g. ISO standards).
Keep precise records of processes procedures and specifications.
Requirements :
A Bachelor’s Degree Postgraduate Diploma Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial or related disciplines) or an equivalent qualification.
At least 8 years of pertinent experience in SMT.
Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing engineering processes.
Outstanding abilities in organization and project management.
