We are seeking a highly organized and technically inclined Field Engineer / Site Clerk with 5 to 10 years of experience in field supervision site documentation and civil works coordination. The ideal candidate will support the site team in ensuring accurate reporting regulatory compliance and proper execution of water infrastructure projects. Prior experience working on donorfunded projects especially World Bankfunded initiatives is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations & Documentation:
Assist the Site Engineer and Project Manager in the daily management of construction activities.
Maintain accurate site records including material usage work progress daily labor records and incident reports.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures at the construction site.
Monitor contractor performance and report any deviations or issues to senior engineers.
Project Reporting & Coordination:
Prepare and submit daily weekly and monthly site progress reports.
Support procurement and inventory teams with onsite materials tracking and delivery confirmations.
Coordinate with surveyors subcontractors and technical teams to ensure seamless field operations.
Help ensure that the project timelines specifications and quality standards are met.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with engineering designs health and safety regulations and World Bank project guidelines.
Assist in environmental and safety audits as required.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with community representatives local authorities and subcontractors as required.
Maintain professional conduct on site to represent the company positively.
Education & Experience:
OND/HND/BSc in Civil Engineering Building Technology or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience in field supervision or site clerking preferably in water infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
Experience with World Bankfunded or other donorsupported projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) for reporting and documentation.
Familiarity with site management software or tools is a plus.
Basic understanding of construction drawings and engineering documentation.
Professional Certifications:
COREN technician membership or other relevant certifications are an added advantage.
Personal Attributes:
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in remote or challenging environments.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel and stay at project sites across Nigeria.
