Job Description

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for a Warehouse Assistant Manager!

The Warehouse Assistant Manager is to be primarily responsible for overseeing and assisting with the receiving storing rotating issuing handling and delivering of all goods for the company according to company policy while promoting a culture of excellence. Responsible for preparing for deliveries ensuring all receiving documentation and inventory requisitions are filed appropriately according to the warehouse SOP.

All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies practices and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional service to our internal and external customers by modeling Sunseekers expectations to customer service.
  • Check all incoming goods against delivery orders and invoices food specifications and purchase records to ensure that the type amount price and quality of items received and ordered are correct.
  • Ensure trucks are clean and free from food debris.
  • Inspect food quality at receiving. Anything not up to standard must be approved by the Warehouse Manager
  • Audit catch weight items to ensure the weights invoiced are accurate
  • Conduct temperature checks on refrigerated/frozen deliveries randomly selecting products ensure truck temperatures are taken and recorded on temperature log
  • Ensure specifications are verified to be correct. If there are substitutions communicate to the appropriate buyer(s).
  • Ensure inventory requisitions are accurate prior to posting and delivery to the requesting outlet.
  • Excellent communication skills responding to requests and emails timely and professionally.
  • Ensure loading dock and receiving areas are kept secure clean and organized.
  • Consistently check product expiration of food and beverage products and alert the Warehouse Manager if something is approaching expiration.
  • Ensure all local and corporate policies rules internal controls and procedures and safeguards as they relate to the Procurement Department are complied with.
  • Understanding quality standards of the hotel.
  • Work together with other Warehouse staff to ensure consistent transitions from receiving to storage of products
  • Ensure all goods received are delivered to the correct location/holding area.
  • Ensure that all nonfood and beverage deliveries coincide with an approved purchase order. All deliveries without purchase orders must be researched / rejected.
  • Maintain the highest level of business integrity in dealing with vendors and delivery persons.
  • Accept delivery of engineering retail spa and other specialty items and contact originating department for verification and inspection of goods if relevant.
  • Ensure all deliveries are received at the designated receiving area only.
  • Ensure all invoices and/or packing slips are processed properly. (Received in fourth and/or sent to the procurement coordinator for processing)
  • Request for credit is filled out for any items refused or damaged and signed by the driver and Receiver
  • Inform the Warehouse Manager in the event of any returns shortages or noshow deliveries immediately.
  • Assist with regular cleaning and reorganization of warehouse storerooms.
  • Bring forward ideas for new services processes improved par levels and inactive inventory.
  • Continue to learn and be on the forefront of new technology and processes for warehousing sector.
  • Ensuring all closing duties are completed
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when evaluating new programs new services and new ideas
  • Stay abreast of property goals in order to create support and present departmental goals to executive leadership
  • Continue to learn and be on the forefront of new technology for the hotel industry
  • Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing implementing and refining procedures to ensure every opportunity to offer extraordinary guest experiences while maintaining a culture of smiles retention of luxury standards
  • Proactively seek guest feedback and liaise with other departments when opportunities present themselves ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience
  • Develop collaborative relationships and synergy with all support departments such as Convention Sales & Services Facilities Security Front Services Front Office F&B Golf Course and Executive Offices
  • Foster a management team that possesses and delivers on key strategies of guest service employee relations team cooperation financial responsibility and asset management
  • Ensure all accounting payroll and employee relations matters are handled in compliance with company policy
  • Perform other functions as needed

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates.   • High school diploma GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years experience in a warehouse environment
  • Previous experience in a resort or hotel setting highly preferred.

Other Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong leadership abilities sound judgment superior problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent organizational analytical and project management skills with particular attention to quality and detail
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
