Job Description

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER / YOUTH SERVICES CENTER Director

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in education Social Work Counseling or

related area or experience (3 yrs. or more) in lieu of degree.

Successful experience in working with business/community/

agencies/resources.

Successful experience in working with atrisk children/youth.

Experience in writing and carrying out the objectives and details of special grants.

Managerial experience

REPORTS TO: Director of Pupil Personnel (DPP)

SUPERVISES: Staff assigned by the Director of Pupil Personnel / Superintendent

JOB GOAL: Assume responsibility for development and coordination of

program; solicits and provides training for staff; develops and

maintains contact with community agencies and businesses.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assure completion of goals and objectives as outlined in the Family Resource Center Project applications.
  2. Recruit develop and coordinate community services.
  3. Develop coordinate and facilitate training programs for staff (paid and volunteer).
  4. Assure compliance with Federal State and local regulations.
  5. Seek additional funding sources including grants and contributions.
  6. Establish a public relations program keeping the community aware of and responsive to the center.
  7. Evaluate and assess effectiveness of the program and initiate changes.
  8. Manages and maintains all aspects of the child care program.
  9. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil Personnel or Superintendent.



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
