Verdex Construction is looking for a highenergy relationshipdriven Business Development Manager to help us Build Something Better across the Greater Tampa area and into a secondary market in West Florida/Orlando markets. As a key member of our business development team youll play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities cultivating longterm client partnerships and representing Verdex in the community and industry. Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from initial pursuit through project deliveryhelping us grow strategically while living our core values of professionalism responsiveness and integrity.If youre passionate about construction thrive in fastpaced environments and have a talent for connecting people and opportunities wed love to hear from you.Essential Functions:- Identify clients/pursuits initiate contact and target potential BD opportunities in Tampa/West Florida market. Create implementation strategies/processes to build grow and sustain longterm business relationships
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts and contact information within and outside of the company and track and manage database through company CR
- Represent the company by maintaining memberships and actively participating in industry and community organizations and events. Personify our brand of professionalism responsiveness and integrity
- Define current and anticipated market conditions and participate in long range planning and goal setting Provide weekly progress reports
- Provide Go/No Go and proposal and presentation activities if needed
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies etc.
- Satisfactory completion of appropriate corporate training as related to the position and/or department.
- Contributes to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks and demonstrating characteristics that exemplify team building and support.

Requirement & Qualifications:- 3 5 years experience in Tampa area in business development or sales. AEC industry experience preferred.
- Highenergy selfmotivated sense of urgency diligent organized collaborative Works well independently as well as an adaptable teamplayer
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Impeccable speaking grammar and writing skills are required
- Effective networking skills with the ability to develop business and build relationships Strong internal/external customer focus
- Proficient with Word Excel PowerPoint. Experience with Cosential CRM a plus
- Position requires flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed. Regional and occasional outside region travel is required.
Education:- Bachelors Degree in Marketing Business or related field
