Job Description

NFL Australia is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Operations to support the daytoday execution and longterm growth of the NFL brand across Australia and New Zealand.

Based out of ourGold Coast office this role reports directly to the General Manager (GM) of NFL Australia & New Zealand and will play a key part in expanding the NFLs regional presence managing stakeholder relationships and supporting major initiatives including the NFL International Game in Melbourne (from 2026) and the NFL Academy APAC.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the GM and other departments across the NFL global network to support the following areas:

  • Support daytoday business operations and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage relationships with city partners national and local federations and clubs.
  • Lead the expansion and delivery of the NFL Flag Program.
  • Oversee administration and strategic direction of NFL Academy APAC.
  • Manage external vendors and contracts to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Lead on special projects and contribute to annual business planning cycles.
  • Support commercial partnership initiatives and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal NFL departments and international offices on joint strategic efforts.
  • Share and implement global best practices and operational standards.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities that align with the local office and broader NFL international strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in consulting sports media or corporate strategy with a strong focus on operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Indepth understanding of the Australian and New Zealand sports landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to shape business strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across time zones with global teams both independently and collaboratively.

At the NFL inperson work at our offices is a top priority because it allows us to collaborate more effectively build stronger connections and maintain the culture that drives our success. This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
