This is a full time position in person/hybrid position.
Duties
This position is an opportunity to join a group of passionate and creative individuals on Wilders Advancement Team. The Advancement Team works to attract engage and inspire relationships with Wilder in order to generate connections and revenue to maximize Wilders ability to be a partner have impact today and build a stronger community for generations to come.
The Development Officer develops and implements Wilders annual fund plan including midlevel giving special campaigns and events. The Development Officer plans and manages annual efforts to build and strengthen Wilders donor base through individualized outreach to midlevel donors direct annual donor engagement and management of cultivation and fundraising events.
The Development Officer reports to the Director of Development works in close collaboration with the Major and Planned Giving Officer and supervises one Development Specialist. This position is part of the Advancement Team which also includes institutional grant fundraising communications and volunteer engagement.
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree and at least 4 years progressive experience in donor cultivation annual giving and event management. At least two years experience supervising fulltime employee(s). Additional experience can substitute for degree requirement.
This position requires a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising strategies to guide successful midlevel and annual donor cultivation and solicitation acquisition and renewal of donors as well as event management. Requires a thorough understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of annual fund development and fundraising.
The position demands outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills an ability to create excitement around Wilders mission to build trusting relationships and to craft messages that inspire donors. Must have exceptional capabilities in planning prioritizing organizing and followthrough. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys and excels at managing multiple ongoing projects. Demonstrated experience in flexibly and effectively engaging and developing relationships with diverse individuals. Must have strong initiative and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of the Advancement Team.
Ability to travel within the Twin Cities metro required. Requires computer proficiency including MicroSoft Office Suite Outlook and data management systems including Raisers Edge.
