DescriptionYou will be part of Area Iberia Italy & Malta which belongs to theMaritime RegionWest Europe. The Area offers Maritime classification services with our dedicated employees in eleven locations with its headquarters in Madrid/ ES. Services delivered are Newbuilding (NB) as well as Certification and Verification of Material and Components (CMC/VMC) while Fleet in Service (FiS) is organized in a separate service line across the Region.
As Maritime Business Controller for Iberia Italy & Malta you will report to the Area Finance Manager. You will actively engage with the Area Management team to guide and support decision making by providing informed business insights while ensuring strong financial control.
Your main job responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements including balance sheets profit & loss statements ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Develop budgets and forecasts to guide business planning and management decisions
- Analyse costs and develop strategies to improve financial efficiency
- Generate and review monthly Work in Progress reports
- Ensure correct financial and contractual data setup in the financial systems (ERP: Enterprise Resources Planning)
- Conduct monthly project reviews with unit managers
- Monitor accounts receivables supporting KPI achievement
- Collaborate closely with other DNV finance teams
- Advising clients and colleagues on financial matters

QualificationsPosition Qualifications
- You hold a Bachelors degree or similar in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field
- You have working knowledge of financial systems (ideally Oracle Finance)
- You are proficient in MS Office especially Excel and Power BI
- You have some entrylevel experience in finance or accounting roles
- You are fluent in business English and Spanish verbally and in writing
- A financial qualification is desirable
- Knowledge of the maritime industry and classification services is a plus
