THE POSITION
This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead and support special event planning and recreation initiatives across the City. As part of the Special Events division the Community Services Coordinator will organize and execute a diverse range of events from seasonal celebrations to largescale community gatherings ensuring residents have access to enriching recreational and cultural experiences. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics managing event programming collaborating with vendors and partners and ensuring seamless execution of community events that align with the Citys goals.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a dynamic organized and detailoriented professional with experience in event planning and community programming. They excel at managing multiple recreation activities demonstrating leadership in coordinating staff and volunteers while ensuring seamless execution of special events. Strong communication and problemsolving skills are essential along with the ability to foster community enthusiasm and engagement. A proactive approach to scheduling resource planning and program evaluation will ensure success in this role as the candidate plays a crucial part in delivering highquality recreational experiences for City residents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and at least two years of paid or volunteer experience as a Recreation Aide or in a related field and one year of supervisory or lead experience. Completion of course work in physical education or recreation is highly desirable.
CPR Certification within six (6) months of hire
Incumbents may be required to work irregular hours including weekends holidays and/or evenings.
