Logistics: This position is fulltime (40hours/week) MondayFriday work hours between 7:30 am 5:00 pm. After 6090 days initial training onsite at the Percival Location in Columbia SC this position will be work from home @ Richland County.
What You Will Do:
Processes new groups group adds group renewals group changes and group cancellations for Major Group and National Accounts through CES in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Updates group demographics coverages and rate information and verifies that group and member data is accurately loaded in CES and PIRS.
Processes all group level add changes to include off anniversary requests.
Ensures member level changes and ensures cancellations are processes when associated with new sales and renewal packages.
Coordinates billing processing.
Coordinates with Marketing Underwriting Claims Benefit files and other areas to ensure appropriate group structure rates status benefit or billing.
Coordinates with Marketing and Data Control to design and issues standard and custom customer ID cards
Responds to inquiries and resolve group and member problems.
To Qualify for This Position You Will Need:
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Work Experience: Two (2) years of customer service administration/clerical support or a combination of the two AND One (1) year of experience in a membership/billing/accounts area (may be concurrent).
Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to acquire knowledge of the membership system. Good judgment. Effective customer service and organizational skills. Demonstrated proficiency in spelling punctuation and grammar skills. Analytical or critical thinking skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
Required Software and Tools: Standard office equipment. Microsoft Office including Excel.
We Prefer That You Have:
Preferred Work Experience: Working knowledge of BCBSSC systems including CES FIPS PIRS and Benefit Files. Knowledge of PIRS billing and payment systems and their applications. Knowledge of benefit contracts insurance laws and operational procedures.
