Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician who will also act as our Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail excellent leadership skills and a passion for maintaining a clean safe and comfortable living environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care and be able to adapt as emergent issues occur.
Responsibilities
- Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis including but not limited to replacing light bulbs repairing basic electrical basic plumbing minor PTAC repair and appliances.
- Prepares resident apartments for new occupants by painting cleaning carpets and general repair.
- Assists Maintenance Director with proper function of all emergency systems.
- Assists in transporting residents to appointments.
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to maintain a clean safe and sanitary environment
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff residents and families
- Perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to cleanliness standards
- Train and mentor housekeeping team members
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Create and adjust staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage
- Address resident concerns and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping supervision preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to communicate in English to fulfill job requirements.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures safety protocols and infection control practices
- Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and products
- Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks when necessary
- Physical ability to bend stoop climb and lift
- Must be able to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds
