Job Summary:The K2 Special Education Resource Teacher provides individualized and smallgroup instruction to students with disabilities from kindergarten through second grade. This educator serves as a case manager collaborates closely with general education teachers and ensures that all services outlined in individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are implemented in accordance with state and federal Duties and Responsibilities:Provide direct specialized instruction to students in K2 with an academic focus based on IEP goalsDevelop write and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) including present levels annual goals accommodations and servicesAct as a case manager for assigned students by coordinating services maintaining timelines and ensuring legal compliance with IDEACollaborate actively with general education teachers to support inclusive practices coteaching models implementation of accommodations and modifications and consultation minutesMonitor student progress through data collection and assessments and adjust instruction and IEPs as neededParticipate in IEP team meetings including eligibility determinations annual reviews and reevaluationsCommunicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student progress services and supportsMaintain accurate documentation including progress reports service delivery logs and compliance paperworkCollaborate with schoolbased and districtwide specialists including speechlanguage pathologists occupational/physical therapists behavior specialists social workers and school psychologistsSupport students in a variety of settings including general education classrooms (pushin) resource rooms (pullout) and integrated activitiesPromote student independence inclusion and access to the general education curriculumReports to: Building Principal and Director of Special Services
