We are currently searching for a Distinguished Scientist with the ability to radically change our capability of our developer products in unique ways by leveraging a combination of Generative AI and Automated Reasoning. The scientist in this role will be a deep domain expert in compilers distributed systems and Generative AI and familiar with the advancements of Large Language Models (LLMs) to help shape our thinking on where to invest in research to develop new applications. The leader in this role will be expected to innovate for Agentic AI in the areas of Generative AI and Automated Reasoning primarily focused on our developer products like Amazon Q Developer.
Key job responsibilities Develop new techniques that help verify the correctness of AIgenerated code and infrastructure
Look to understand where current systems can extend to support software development and the needs of technology organizations
Identify where we need to innovate and develop the science research roadmap for our developer products.
Partner with teams across agentic AI to push the state of the art forward on how we can provide better products for customers with mission critical systems.
About the team The Agentic AI org is laser focused on building bestinclass experiences and AI agents that address the day to day needs of our customers ranging from business productivity to software development. We are a missionary organization that emphasizes customer delight and rapid iterative delivery. You will work with engineers scientists and UX designers who are passionate about solving problems that can help our customers achieve orders of higher productivity than they can today.
Top prospect will have a deep and broad understanding of machine learning AI Automated Reasoning and distributed systems. Science depth and breadth in compilers automated reasoning and will be essential in this role to advocate at the most senior levels for science solutions to solve product problems and recognize where current technology can translate to product differentiation and customer success.
PhD degree in computer science engineering or mathematics
20 years experience in the field
A track record of worldclass publication in related disciplines
Demonstrated expertise in both theory and practice of disciplines
Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests recommend alternative technical and business approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet ambitious timelines with optimal solutions.
Exceptional ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including large technical audiences senior management and customers.
Track record of developing intellectual property.
Demonstrated history of influencing standards bodies.
Participation on academic program committees and opensource programs. ability to effectively influence dive deep and think big about creating customer focused solutions.
