Service Overview
Clarity Health Care is an accredited mental health service committed to delivering multidisciplinary responsive care to individuals experiencing mental health concerns or mental illness. Our team includes psychiatrists psychologists occupational therapists social workers and registered nurses.
More important than discipline is the clinical expertise and collaborative mindset of the senior mental health clinicians we employ. Care is delivered through outreach clinicbased appointments telehealth and group programs tailored to clinical reasoning and individual need.
Due to the design of the workforce at Clarity collaboration and continuity of care is core to the delivery of the treatment with the recovery model and biopsychosocial model being the grounding principles of all care
This role is located in a District of Workforce ShortageIt would suit a registrar who is under a moratoriumoffering a valuable opportunity to develop clinical experience in a supportive and progressive setting.
This position is a .40 FTE based at Birtinya Sunshine Coast

Key Responsibilities- Clinical Duties: Conduct assessments diagnose mental health conditions and provide appropriate evidence based treatment which may include psychotherapy medication management and other evidencebased practices.
- Collaborative Care: Partner with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Ongoing Monitoring: Review and monitor patient progress adjusting care plans as needed.
- Crisis Intervention: Deliver urgent care during mental health crises and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records ensuring compliance with local and national regulations
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in psychiatry and participate in continuing education opportunities
- Service Efficiency: Work with the administration team to reduce cancellations and ensure that 90% of your time is focused on patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Medical degree with specialisation in Psychiatry.
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Proven experience in psychiatric care ideally in a community or outpatient setting.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant Australian regulations.
- Highlevel written and verbal communication skills.
