Job Description

Adelphi is seeking experienced and Texas-licensed Physician Assistants (PA-C) to provide after-hours psychiatric care via telemedicine in Galveston County Texas. The selected PAs will collaborate with supervising psychiatrists to assess treat and manage behavioral health emergencies for adult patients in a crisis setting.

Requirements:
Master s degree from an ARC-PA-accredited program
NCCPA certification (PANCE passed)
Active PA license in Texas and NCCPA certification
Behavioral health or crisis care experience preferred
DEA license required; DEA-X waiver preferred
Proficiency in HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms and EHR systems
Availability during evenings nights weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:
Perform psychiatric assessments and initiate treatment plans under appropriate supervision
Collaborate with supervising psychiatrists to manage medication orders
Respond to on-demand psychiatric emergencies within 15 minutes of notification
Maintain accurate timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care
