Your mission
HelloBetter is a pioneer in the field of digital healthcare. For more than 10 years we have been developing evidencebased digital health applications for the prevention and treatment of mental health conditions. Our applications cover a variety of areas including stress management depression problematic alcohol use panic disorder and anxiety vaginismus and sleep disorders. Six of HelloBetters ten applications are approved as digital health applications. They are available free of charge by prescription to all insured adults in Germany.

Our Engineering Team is composed of over 20 developers dedicated to advancing the field of digital health in Germany. Your objectives
Develop and maintain efficient backend microservices using technologies like TypeScript MongoDB Docker and Kubernetes
Collaborate with frontend/mobile developers and crossfunctional team members to define objectives and implement cohesive code elevating the user experience and accessibility
Embrace continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices explore new programming tools and provide knowledge sharing sessions to fellow team members
Advocate for agile processes operational excellence and coding best practices emphasising clean readable code.
Actively participate in the product lifecycle from discovery all the way to deployment
Your profile
Must Haves
Around three years or more of professional experience with and TypeScript in a microservices environment
Professional experience with nonrelational databases (e.g. MongoDB)
Professional experience with queue management systems (e.g. Kafka RabbitMQ)
Strong testing and documentation instinct for new features and architectural decisions
Openness to working with colleagues from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences actively embracing diversity equity and inclusion
English as company language fluently
Nice to Haves
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485) for medical products
Working knowledge of Redis or/and ElasticSearch
