Job Description
Location: Richmond CA
Compensation: $125000 $165000 USD
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead municipal infrastructure projects in the Greater Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction excellent leadership and communication skills and a proven ability to manage budgets schedules and diverse teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful public works projects with a focus on safety quality and longterm sustainability.
Must Haves
- 5 years of construction project management experience for a General Contractor
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Civil Mechanical Environmental Engineering or related field
- Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure and process mechanical systems
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on active job sites
- Solid knowledge of civil infrastructure: earthwork structural concrete underground utilities mechanical systems
- Proven ability to manage contracts subcontracts purchase orders and project budgets
- Skilled in schedule development cost control and manpower planning
- Strong communication documentation and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety compliance and job site best practices
- Comfortable supervising and mentoring engineers and field staff
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with sustainability practices (QSP SWPPP LEED)
- Proficiency with tools like Procore Bluebeam AutoCAD Primavera etc.
- Background in preconstruction client proposals or business development
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute all phases of municipal infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Set the strategic tone for projects ensuring alignment with scope budget and schedule
- Lead project planning scheduling and procurement activities in collaboration with superintendents and trade partners
- Manage jobspecific buyouts and submittals in coordination with estimating and executive teams
- Monitor and control project budgets change orders and financial forecasting
- Implement safety quality control and environmental programs with site leadership
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings to ensure progress safety and quality standards are met
- Foster positive working relationships with clients consultants and agency stakeholders
- Coordinate internal teams including Project Engineers Field Engineers and Accountants
- Ensure strict compliance with contractual obligations and notice provisions
- Report progress and key metrics to the Project Executive
- Represent the company s values with professionalism reliability and a cando attitude
