(DWECH) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) and is committed to creating positive and fulfilling lifestyles for individuals and families. The organisation provides a range of services including Primary Health Care Social and Emotional Well Being Family Services Youth Services and Home and Community Care.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEWB (Social & Emotional Wellbeing) Coordinator to lead and support our SEWB team under the direction of the SEWB Manager. This role is central to the delivery of culturally appropriate mental health and wellbeing services supporting individuals families and communities to thrive.

As the SEWB Coordinator you will oversee the planning implementation and evaluation of SEWB programs provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure culturally responsive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage SEWB programs and services in line with community needs and funding requirements.
  • Provide leadership supervision and support to SEWB team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community government and nongovernment stakeholders.
  • Ensure services are delivered in a culturally safe traumainformed and strengthsbased manner.
  • Monitor program outcomes and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
  • Support community engagement and cultural healing initiatives.

About You

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (desirable).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work Psychology Counselling Community Development or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating SEWB or mental health programs.
  • Strong understanding of the social determinants of health affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with community members.
  • Current Drivers Licence First Aid & CPR certificates Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) are a must.
