Job Description
The Office of Alumni Relations ( OAR ) at Elizabethtown College is currently seeking a Director of Alumni Engagement. This position will be responsible for implementing a strategic and innovative alumni engagement plan that includes communications events and programming to meaningfully engage 24000 alumni in ways that foster an everincreasing sense of loyalty toward commitment to pride in and support of Elizabethtown College (Etown) and its mission. The ideal candidate will be a creative and innovative thinker who brings new ideas for engaging and communicating with alumni to develop and execute unique alumni touch points that generate connections. Serving as an ambassador of the College the Director will represent Institutional Advancement Division (IA) interests locally and regionally sometimes traveling during the week and on weekends in support of alumni engagement efforts. As a leader within the IA and overseer of the Office of Alumni Relations ( OAR ) the Director will supervise two alumni engagement staff members and provide vision leadership and strategic oversight to the Alumni Council. In addition the Director will facilitate and manage activities that create and support a pipeline of giving prospects to achieve fundraising goals leveraging current volunteer structures and creating new ways to give back to the College. The Director will also develop and maintain relationships with a portfolio of giving prospects with the goal of effectively cultivating soliciting and stewarding annual and multiyear gifts.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelors degree is required. In addition a minimum of five years of successful and progressively responsible alumni engagement fundraising event planning or relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND /OR REGISTRATIONS This position requires a valid drivers license for business travel purposes (individual must have a US drivers license for at least three years). Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree; Demonstrated accomplishment in developing/evaluating volunteer leadership fundraising and communications is strongly preferred. Experience in higher education is also preferred.

Monday Friday 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (evenings and weekends as necessary)
