You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSt Augustine Academy is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Pastoral Support Officer to join our wellestablished and supportive Inclusion Team.
This is a key role focused on supporting students welfare raising aspirations and helping them reach their full academic potential. You will work closely with pupils staff and external agencies to ensure students receive high levels of care and guidance.
The role requires initiative discretion and the ability to build strong professional relationships. A clear understanding of young peoples varied needs and a commitment to inspiring positive life choices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daytoday pastoral support for students promoting their emotional wellbeing attendance and engagement.
Develop positive relationships with students to help remove barriers to learning and encourage positive behaviour.
Support the implementation of the academys behaviour and safeguarding policies including managing and following up on behaviour incidents.
Monitor and track student attendance punctuality and behaviour working with relevant staff and families to improve outcomes.
Act as a point of contact for students experiencing difficulties offering guidance and liaising with staff and external agencies where necessary.
Contribute to early intervention strategies and support plans for vulnerable students.
Maintain accurate records of interventions incidents and communications in line with data protection and safeguarding requirements.
Work closely with parents/carers to ensure effective homeschool communication and support.
Support the planning and delivery of pastoral interventions mentoring sessions or small group work focused on personal development and wellbeing.
Contribute to the wider life of the school including enrichment activities and events that promote student development.
