This facility features 348 treatment spaces and five modern operating theatres where we perform over 8000 surgical procedures annually. We are currently seeking a motivated Theatre Operating Assistant to join our dedicated team.Both experienced and entrylevel candidates are welcome to apply with onthe job training provided. You will work collaboratively with theatre and hospital staff to ensure the delivery of safe effective and highquality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with services across the theatre campus and broader hospital as directed
  • Assist with patient positioning preparation and interoperative support
  • Liaise with relevant staff to confirm equipment requirements; assemble and check equipment to ensure it is complete clean and in proper working order.
  • Follow correct cleaning procedures and uphold a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels report maintenance issues and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.

You will receive orientation and ongoing support from the Operating Theatre Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and the education team. Educational opportunities to support your growth in the role are available and encouraged.


Key Skills

  • Previous theatre experience and/or a strong desire to learn
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent teamwork and clear communication are essential
  • Must be flexible and available to work a rotating 7day roster including on short notice when needed
