ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follow calendar schedule for daily school assignment created with ASC Administrator and building principals including assigned to schools to fill unfilled substitute positions.
- Assigned schools will be based on the following: provide support to schools that are understaffed need additional student support or have unfilled sub positions.
- The building principal will determine responsibilities for the day(s).
- Assume responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class(es) and surrounding areas.
- On days assigned to fill unfilled positions check Frontline in the morning for building/classroom
- At each school site follow the assigned schedule.
- Follow all policies rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
- Remain in the assigned classroom/school until all students have been dismissed for the day.
- Review with principal or designee all plans duties and schedules to be followed during the teaching day teach the outlined lesson(s) and maintain as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the assigned school/classroom(s).
- Complete evaluation at the end of the day/lesson and checks out with authorized personnel prior to leaving at the end of the day.
- Attend professional development/staff meetings with assigned elementary schools.
- Complete activities for TRI contract as agreed upon with supervisor including supporting the Districts recruitment efforts.
- Complete evaluation responsibilities with supervisor.
- Perform assigned outofclassroom supervision and other duties.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules administrative regulations and board policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of a Bachelors Degree; valid Washington State teaching certificate.
- Special Education Certificate preferred.
- Will consider applicants enrolled in Special Education program.
- Must be flexible exhibit a commitment to accomplishment possess outstanding communication and conceptual skills demonstrate appropriate and positive student relationships possess a strong professional orientation and be willing to actively participate in a team environment.
- Must have regular consistent attendance.
- Must be willing to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum integration and a commitment to improve and refine instructional and management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technology and an ability to incorporate into instructional programs.
