Job Description

Job Title: Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP)
Department: Human Resources
Location: Burundi

Position Purpose
The Human Resource Business Partner serves as a trusted partner ensuring alignment of HR
policies with local labor laws and international best practices. This role focuses on building a
productive and engaging work environment through effective talent management employee
relations and compliance initiatives that support organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy and Policy Implementation
Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.
Support the creation and review of HR policies and regulatory frameworks for effective workforce management.
Prepare and manage HR budgets effectively to optimize resource allocation.
Design manpower plans and provide reports to inform strategic decisionmaking.

Talent Acquisition and Management
Lead recruitment onboarding and talent management processes.
Conduct Training Needs Assessments and create annual training plans.
Organize and coordinate employee development programs to enhance skill sets and performance.
Oversee performance management addressing employee concerns proactively.
Monitor and renew employee contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Facilitate expatriate staff immigration processes in line with Burundi immigration laws.
Manage staff exit procedures ensuring smooth transitions.

Payroll and Benefits Administration
Process payroll and employeerelated payments accurately and on time.
Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions
Process terminal benefits to beneficiaries.
Administer employee benefits as per company policy to maintain satisfaction and productivity.

Employee Relations and Compliance
Manage disciplinary and grievance processes with fairness and confidentiality.
Develop and execute initiatives that enhance employee morale wellness and engagement.
Oversee leave management monitoring usage and generating periodic reports to support decisionmaking.

Information Management and Reporting
Oversee the HR Management Information System (ERP) for efficient data handling.
Prepare and present monthly HR metrics and analytics to support decisionmaking.
Maintain employee records in compliance with company policies and national regulations.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Human Resource Management Social Sciences Organizational Psychology Business Administration or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in HR roles preferably in a multicultural environment.
Proficiency in HR systems payroll processing and data analytics.
Strong understanding of Burundi s labor laws and regulatory standards.
Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
Postgraduate HR Qualification or HR certification is an added advantage

Technical Skills
Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in MS Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.
Strong familiarity with HR Systems and Technology.
Advanced knowledge of payroll processing and Burundi labor laws.
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
