Job Description
Role : Business Systems Analyst
Location : Austin TX 78751 Hybrid 3 days remote with 2 days Onsite
Duration: 9/1/2025 - 8/31/2026
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Review analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs.
- Formulate systems that align with overall business strategies.
- Apply business process reengineering principles and identify new applications of technology to improve business effectiveness.
- Utilize industry-standard business process mapping and reengineering practices.
- Prepare solution options conduct risk identification and perform financial analyses such as cost/benefit ROI and buy/build assessments.
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- The role involves working in a SAFe Agile environment on a major system modernization project as well as ongoing enhancements for existing Medicaid applications. You will:
- Provide project oversight of Medicaid IT-Contracted Systems efforts integrated projects and support for dependent projects.
- Oversee documentation and delivery of application enhancements as part of the Medicaid IT-Contracted systems team.
- Act as an IT stakeholder for various enhancement initiatives with multiple Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) vendors.
- Assist in developing processes and documentation to ensure alignment with agency direction for an integrated solution.
Preferred Skills:
- 2 years of experience and knowledge of Texas HHSC processes as well as Texas Medicaid and CHIP systems.
- 2 years of experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment
