What is the required shift

Rotating shift between 1st 2nd and 3rd shift (must be available for all three)

  • Week One: 1st shift 7 days in a row (MonFri: 7A3:30P; SatSun 7A7:30P)
  • Week Two: 2nd shift 5 days in a row (MonFri: 3P11:30P)
  • Week Three: 3rd shift 7 days in a row (MonFri: 11P 7:30A; Sat/Sun 7P7:30A)
  • Week Four: OFF 5 days in a row

What is the Job Purpose
The Shift Technical Lead is responsible for efficient safe and reliable leadership of their shift maintenance team. They will indirectly manage plan maintain and troubleshoot the sites manufacturing equipment utilities equipment and factory infrastructure while directing and training the shift Maintenance required escalate issues to the responsible Associate Technical Manager in accordance with escalation protocol. Initiate Breakdown Analysis when triggers are reached.

What are we looking for

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED WITH 3 years of maintenance related experience

OR

  • Associate of Applied Science in electrical/mechanical studyWITH 2 years of maintenance related experience

AND

  • Electrical understanding including but not limited to: AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC 3 Phase) etc.
  • Mechanical systems understanding but not limited to Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying (1050 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50200 lbs.)
  • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform climb stairs leaning over equipment.
  • Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 8 hours/ shift).
  • Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and nontemperaturecontrolled rooms.
  • Ability to read write speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting process and packaging systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Technical/Trade Certification in: Advanced Machinist Skills fabrication and/or blueprint interpretation
  • PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills

What will be my Key Responsibilities

  • Indirectly coach coordinate and develop a technical team up to 12 technicians and their daily tasks
  • Assist technicians to troubleshoot repair replace and calibrate electrical sensing devices and instrumentation:Photoelectric inductive capacitive pressure temperature weight position sensors flow and analytical instruments 480V electrical power instrumentation motor controls VFDs Servos I/O devices/modules PLCs and HMIs.
  • Create and follow a safe working environment through established safety working permits OSHA escalation protocol corrective action food safety risk assessments etc
  • Support factory utilities infrastructure including air compressors boilers chillers wastewater etc.
  • Initiate Breakdown Analyses (BDAs) for failures meeting the BDA trigger
  • Assist operations and maintenance associates to meet daily priorities coverage and special projects.
