Job Description

Stoughton Public Schools seeks a highly qualified Middle School EL teacher to join our committed ELE department in serving our schools multilingual student population. The Middle School EL teacher will coordinate ELE services and provide direct ESL instruction to students. She will develop English language proficiency goals that are clear and measurable and track student progress. She will also be responsible for administering state mandated EL screening assessments and the annual WIDA ACCESS exam for ELs. The role also includes coordinating redesignation of ELs monitoring FEL (former English Learner) students and keeping EL records in accordance with DESE guidance. As a critical member of the instructional team the EL teacher will work in collaboration with general education and content teachers and share best practices to ensure high quality sheltered English instruction. The candidate must hold a valid Massachusetts ESL teaching license. Review of applications will begin promptly.
