Job Description
The Physics Department at Hamilton College invites candidates to apply for a oneyear Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning on July 1 2025 with the possibility of renewal. A PhD in Physics or related field is required for this position. Job responsibilities could include teaching at the introductory intermediate and advanced levels in both classroom and laboratory settings.
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with diverse student populations. Your cover letter should address the ways in which you would further the Colleges goals of enhancing the educational experiences of students while building a diverse and inclusive educational environment. The teaching load for this position is five courses per year. The expected 9month base salary range for this position is $76000 to $78500.
