This position assists in the installation maintenance and repair of campuswide buildings and facilities; assists in performing general carpentry repairs maintenance or construction work; assists skilled technicians in performing minor repairs of plumbing electrical and mechanical systems to maintain campus facilities; independently performs maintenance tasks requiring a limited degree of professional skill; and performs related work as required. This class works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires mediumtoheavy work that involves walking standing stooping lifting digging pushing or raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis. May be required to use a ladder or scaffolding. May be required to occasionally work in small hard to reach spaces. Work is performed both inside a facility and outdoors in all weather conditions. Some hazardous situations may exist based on work to be performed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work environment may risk exposure to bright/dim light dusts and pollen extreme heat and/or cold wet or humid conditions extreme noise levels vibration fumes and/or noxious odors moving machinery electrical shock heights disease/pathogens toxic/caustic chemicals.
