Amazons Legal Department is looking for an attorney with experience in corporate anticorruption compliance programs to join its Business Conduct & Ethics team.
Were looking for someone that can contribute to our companywide anticorruption compliance program support our teams legal counsel in the US and Canada and provide guidance and legal advice to Amazon leaders. The attorney will also contribute to the global proactive compliance aspects of our program. The attorney must be experienced advising on legal issues related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and related laws. The right person will be able to provide practical advice for business leaders and exhibit excellent judgment and counseling when assessing risk. To be successful it is imperative that the hire learn and understand the various aspects of the business understand how to mitigate the identified risks and enable the business to move quickly. The attorney must have the ability to be a calming influence during difficult circumstances. Strong communication skills are critical. It is imperative that the attorney demonstrate excellent judgment when dealing with sensitive matters.
Key job responsibilities
This Corporate Counsel role will be responsible for:
Contributing to our teams anticorruption compliance program in the US and Canada.
Contributing to aspects of our global proactive program including conflict of interest reporting gift reporting thirdparty due diligence and training/communications.
Advising leaders at Amazon on matters relating to Amazons Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and anticorruption risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator adept at working with multiple stakeholders to navigate complex matters and deliver results. You must be able to prioritize multitask meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fastpaced ambiguous and changing environment.

5 years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and inhouse work
