Avesta Housing is seeking a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to work in the Independent Living wing of our assisted living facility 75 State Street. These roles provide high quality care to the residents of the facility that is consistent with procedures outlined by Health Services and the mission of 75 State Street.

What Were Looking For
The person who is ready for this opportunity will meet the following requirements:
- Excellent judgment

- Good communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive teamplayer attitude
- Experience working with the elderly in a personal care environment preferred.
- Valid PSS certification.
- Good written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to residents family staff and outside facilities and vendors.
- Ability to meet facility and state immunization requirements.
- Commitment to quality services and treating residents with dignity and respect.
- Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive teamplayer attitude.

This is a nonexempt per diem position. This position will be asked to work Mondays 3:00pm 11:00pm with the potential for other hours throughout the week. The starting pay range for this position is $15.50 $18.00 per hour.
