Job Description

Position Title: Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor in Business Analytics and Computer Information Systems

Department: OMalley School of Business

Position Type: Full Time Visiting Faculty

Salary: $90000 $110000

Position Summary:

Manhattan University is a private Lasallian institution that was founded in 1853. It offers degree programs in the arts business education engineering and science. The University has approximately 4000 full and parttime undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in over 50 fields of study and is committed to excellence in teaching a diverse student body and preparing students for successful careers and fulfilling lives. The OMalley School of Business offers AACSBaccredited undergraduate and graduate programs in several majors.

The Manhattan University OMalley School of Business invites qualified candidates to apply for a fulltime visiting Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Business Analytics & Computer Information Systems department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The hired faculty will be qualified to teach in AI and Machine learning at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Have strong applied computing skills
  • Must provide evidence of teaching effectiveness research accomplishments and/or relevant work experience
  • Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching research service as well as curricular development
  • The successful candidate will be required to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses
  • Engage in scholarly activities and provide ongoing service to the department school and university

Education:

  • By the start of the appointment the candidate should possess an earned Ph.D. in a computational area closely related to business analytics and information systems at large

Interested candidates should submit:

  • A letter of application explaining teaching effectiveness in at least two of the areas under consideration
  • An uptodate CV that reflects teaching research and industry experience as well as contact information of at least three references.
