The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level ranging from $94490 to $118113.

Job Summary:

As a Cloud Engineer & Generative AI Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Avangrid you will play a pivotal role in designing implementing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure to support cuttingedge Generative AI applications. Your expertise will be crucial in collaborating with data scientists and AI researchers to deploy and optimize AI models ensuring the security reliability and performance of cloudbased AI systems.

You will utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management. Your technical leadership and mentorship will guide team members on cloud and AIrelated projects while your problemsolving skills will help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and AI model deployment.

Staying uptodate with the latest advancements in AWS Azure and Generative AI you will apply this knowledge to continuously improve our systems. Your documentation of best practices processes and procedures will ensure smooth cloud and AI operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the security reliability and performance of cloudbased AI systems on AWS and Azure.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members on cloud and AIrelated projects.
• Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in AWS Azure and Generative AI and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and AI model deployment on AWS and Azure.
• Document best practices processes and procedures for cloud and AI operations.

Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of related experience. 5 years preferred
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in machine learning (ML) and AI models.
• Expertise in Generative AI including experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch or similar.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java or .NET.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
• Handson experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications in AWS and Azure technologies (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in vector databases and their application within the GenAI framework.
• Desirable knowledge of AI Agents through orchestrators.
• Desirable knowledge of frameworks such as Langchain Semantic Kernel Spring AI.
