About the Position

The Systems Administrator Senior/Lead provides system or network administration to support and maintain the installation configuration maintenance monitoring and troubleshooting of systems for the IT Infrastructure and Security Division of the Sheriffs Office. This role provides thirdtier technical support for system and/or network operating systems and applications applying advanced technical expertise to highly complex assignments requiring independent discretion and judgment. The position operates in a senior level role with an extreme focus on customer service and may provide leadership to Systems Administrators or other IT staff.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or closely related field.

Experience

  • Four (4) years of related work experience in administering configuring managing installing and troubleshooting server and storage systems.

OR

Combined education and experience qualifications

  • Other combinations of education or experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year for year basis.

Other requirements

  • Must possess a valid Arizona drivers license or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire.
  • Training that may be provided onthejob: FEMA NIMS IS100 and 700; Safety; Payroll; PREA.
  • Prior to hiring the Sheriffs Office requires that all candidates pass a background review.

Our Preferred Candidate has

  • Two (2) years experience in managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) and or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Experience in a government or law enforcement environment.
  • Experience in Governance and Policy compliance (NIST 80053).
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP).
