Role description:
Arcadis is searching for a Staff Water Engineerto support and grow our Water team in Syracuse NY. This candidate will use their expertise and technical knowledge to deliver design work for water/wastewater clients in New York and across North America.

Role accountabilities:
As a Staff Water Engineer you will evaluate plan design and support management of projects for water/wastewater treatment and conveyance (pipelines treatment and pumping facilities). You will need to exercise judgement on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Completing technical and report writing with guidance from more senior team members will be a key part in your role.
You will perform fieldwork activities such as site visits construction inspection sampling water quality analyses asset inventory flow monitoring setup and monitoring technology evaluations and plant operations information process troubleshooting and optimization. You will support professional engineering services during construction including construction observation review of shop drawings responses to request for information (RFIs) and permit closeouts.
Managing tasks as a project resource completing allocated activities to meet budget timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations will be expected in your position. You will need to carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions as well as prepare documentation and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with Arcadis requirements and relevant national standards and codes of practice.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
