Urgent Care RN Per Diem
Job description:
Interim Healthcare is looking for an Urgent Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide highquality patientcentered care in a fastpaced clinical environment. The RN is responsible for triaging patients performing assessments administering medications and treatments assisting with minor procedures and coordinating patient care under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider.
*This is an inclinic position*
Schedule: PartTime/Per diem various schedules/shifts available at different locations throughout the metro from 5/256/21. Additional opportunities may be available beyond this point.
Pay: Up to $70 per hour (depending on experience).
Locations: Urgent Care clinic locations in Arden Hills Woodbury and Apple Valley MN.
Must have current RN license in the State of MN
Job Responsibilities:
- Triage patients and assess the severity of patient conditions to prioritize care.
- Measure vital signs including blood pressure heart rate temperature oxygen saturation and perform physical assessments.
- Provide patients with injections wound care nebulizer treatments IV fluids etc.
- Support providers with suturing splinting abscess drainage and other minor procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy collect urine throat nasal swabs etc. and conduct pointofcaree testing (e.g. strep COVID19 flu glucose).
- Accurately chart patient assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR Epic).
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must have an active RN license in the state of MN.
- One year or more of experience in an Urgent Care clinic/ER is preferred but not required.
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. *Online BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
- Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
