Position Title: Associate Director of Parish Development Department: Mission Advancement (Development and Stewardship) Mission Statement The Archdiocese of Detroit Development Office exists to inspire generosity in support of the Churchs mission to unleash the Gospel. The Parish Fundraiser & CSA Campaign Manager advances this vision by strengthening parish offertory efforts and by leading the endtoend coordination of the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) connecting faithful stewards with transformational impact. Position Summary The Archdiocese of Detroit is seeking a missionaligned detailoriented and relationshipdriven professional to serve as the Associate Director of Parish Development. This vital role will lead the development and implementation of strategic offertory campaigns to strengthen yearround giving at the parish level while also serving as the primary coordinator of the Archdioceses annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA). The Associate Director of Parish Development will collaborate closely with pastors and parish staff to foster a culture of stewardship develop campaign materials and deliver datainformed consultation that empowers local communities to grow generosity. Concurrently this position will provide fullscope leadership of the CSA including campaign theme development creative execution vendor and mail house coordination parish training facilitation and Steering Committee support. Key Responsibilities Parish Offertory Campaigns - Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive offertory campaigns tailored to both family and individual parish needs aligning with the overarching mission and goals of the Archdiocese.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize parish giving data to identify trends set benchmarks and measure the effectiveness of campaigns ensuring continuous improvement and transparency.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with pastors parish staff and lay leaders to foster a culture of stewardship providing training and resources to support campaign initiatives.
- Resource Development: Create and distribute customized print and digital materials including letters brochures and online content to effectively communicate campaign messages and goals.
- Sustainability & Growth: Implement strategies to maintain and build upon initial campaign successes ensuring longterm growth in parish offertory contributions.
Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) Program Management - Lead the development of the CSA campaign theme in alignment with the Archbishops priorities and diocesan mission.
- Serve as project manager for all aspects of the CSA including campaign strategy creative direction timeline and vendor management.
- Collaborate with graphic designers writers and print/mail vendors to produce and deliver highquality campaign materials.
- Coordinate all parish orders for CSA materials and manage production logistics to ensure ontime delivery and accuracy.
- Staff the CSA Steering Committee organizing meeting schedules preparing materials and facilitating communication between members and leadership.
- Plan schedule and host CSA parish training sessions both onsite and virtual equipping parish leaders with tools strategies and best practices for campaign success.
- Maintain campaign dashboards and reporting systems to track realtime progress across parishes.
- Serve as the central point of contact for parishes throughout the campaign providing guidance and troubleshooting support.
Qualifications - Practicing Catholic in good standing with deep understanding of stewardship and Church mission.
- Bachelors degree required; masters or advanced training in development nonprofit management communications or pastoral ministry preferred.
- 35 years of experience in development advancement marketing or campaign coordination ideally within a Catholic or nonprofit setting.
- Proven experience managing complex multiphase campaigns from concept to execution.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to lead meetings speak publicly and foster strong relationships with clergy staff and volunteers.
- Proficiency in donor databases Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Familiarity with mail house coordination creative development and print production timelines.
- Bilingual fluency or experience working in multicultural parish environments is a plus.

Work Environment & Schedule - Fulltime salaried position based at the Archdiocese of Detroit Development Office (Detroit).
- Requires occasional evening and weekend commitments during campaign cycles and parish visits.
Physical demands Position requires the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work. May involve some lifting carrying pushing/or pulling of objects and materials (550 pounds). May involve extended periods of time standing or sitting at a keyboard or workstation. May involve repetitive motion (i.e. typing). May involve walking long distances. May require long periods of time speaking. Travel required Local travel within the archdiocese to parishes trainings and meetings is expected with visits primarily within Southeast Michigan.
