Primary Job Responsibilities


Learning and Development

  • Collaboratively work with the Training and Development Supervisor in the design planning and implementation of HOM LAs internal training strategy to meet the organizations needs.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions workshops and seminars.
  • Use known educational principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance assessments.
  • Report on training metrics and suggest improvements based on findings.
  • Communicate training schedules and details to relevant team members.
  • Ensure training rooms materials and equipment are prepared and available.
  • Schedule calendar appointments for new hires to mirror the training plan including links documents or any other necessary information or instruction.
  • Coordinate and communicate changes to the training plans needed.
  • Support onboarding training for new hires as necessary.
  • Notify management of the new hires training progress including the status of course completion.


Learning Management System (LMS) and Internal Knowledge Base

  • Assist with the development of courses utilizing elearning authoring tools.
  • Upload courses and maintain updated curriculum in LMS.
  • Assign and track completion of courses in LMS reviewing with leadership as needed.
  • Assist with the maintenance of training records in employee profiles.
  • Assist with updating content in the internal knowledge base.


Administrative Duties

  • Update training program materials to ensure accuracy of content making changes when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate document storage including version control.


Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including SharePoint OneDrive Teams Planner Outlook Word and Excel.


Other Requirements

  • This role will have access to sensitive data including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) and must adhere to HOM Security and Privacy Policies.
  • Team Member may use or disclose PII or PHI through the course of their duties listed above. All use and disclosure is subject to procedures outlined in Section 1.10 of the HOM Privacy Policies.
  • Must demonstrate HOMs core competencies: Emotional Intelligence Expertise Ethics and Excellence.
  • Valid California drivers license and uptodate automobile insurance.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as needed or assigned.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • An associate or bachelors degree in business psychology adult education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in learning and development at an organizational level.
  • Proven work experience as a trainer instructor or applicable affordable housing industry work.
  • Experience in the assisted housing industry property management homeless services project management or similar setting preferred.
