Job Description

To: All Teaching and Administrative PersonnelBrockton Public SchoolsFrom: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject: Anticipated Opening Language Support (GrantFunded)Brockton Public Schools is seeking a Language Support for Edison Academy to support students participating in the Home Health Aid class. This position is grant funded through the Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership (MAP) and provides and opportunity to help students navigate the Home Health Aid. This role involves interpreting translating and ensuring nonEnglish Speaking students understand the material provided and guide students with online classes homework help or any other relevant class :Multilingual candidates preferred (Spanish Haitian Creole Cape Verdean Creole and Portuguese)Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students from diverse experience in translation or interpretation particularly in a professional setting (Ability to work independently maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information to work with the students at Healthcare Edu office Must be able to engage in phone video or in person communication for extended travel may be requiredReports to:Edison Academy Leadership TeamWork Year & Compensation:Rate: $39.70/hour capped at $2183.50 total Funding: Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership (MAP) Grant
