Job Description

Promote a lifelong love of learning and reading in all studentsBuild a school library program that aligns with the districts curriculum and strategic planEmpower students to be critical thinkers enthusiastic readers and skillful researchersEnsure equitable access to informationEnsure that students and staff are effective ethical users of ideas and informationCollaborate with classroom teachers and specialists Promote and support instructional technologyStay current in professional practicesServe on decision making teams Foster a flexible learning environment for students and staffResearch develop and maintain the library collection and curriculum the school library budgetSupervise parent volunteersSupervise the annual book fairParticipate in school duties Establish a working relationship with the Wilmington Public LibraryAbility to use the interlibrary loan system Administer grades 3 times a yearOther related duties as assigned
