Job Description
Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the school year:
Location: Transportation
Position: Bus Driver Route 37B
Hours: 4 hours per day
Calendar: 185 days per year (AugustJune)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have an excellent driving record.
- Valid Class B CDL drivers license with P and S endorsements and no Air Brake restriction.
- ODE School Bus Driver Certificate or permit
- Must pass criminal history check.
- Ability to pass physical drug and alcohol tests.
- Ability to operate heavy duty vehicles in a safe and economical way.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to get along well with students of all ages and their parents.
- Ability to learn routes rules and procedures.
- Ability to work varying split shifts cover AM and PM bus routes as well as short trips.
- Other transportation related duties as assigned.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
- Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- $22.26$32.15 per hour (currentpay rates pay rates contingent on ratification and School Board approval). Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
- Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
- Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
- 6 paid holidays per year
- 2 personal days per year
- 10 paid sick leave days per year
- Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement
- Continuing Education Funds up to $1000 per year
- Up to $1522 per month districtpaid contribution toward fullfamily medical dental and vision insurance
- $4251 per year insurance optout stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6hour employees) $3825.90 (46hour employees)
- 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
- Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($800$1400)
