Looking for your next challenge North America Sort Centers (NASC) are experiencing growth and looking for a skilled highly motivated Sr. Program Manager to join the NASC Engineering Product Team. The Sort Center network is the critical MiddleMile solution in the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) group linking Fulfillment Centers to the Last Mile. The experience of our customers is dependent on our ability to efficiently execute volume flow through the middlemile network.
The person in this role will manage medium to largescale projects that are innovative or complex and at the same time delivered as quickly accurately and as cost effectively as possible.
Key job responsibilities
The person in this role will own strategic tactical crossfunctional and technology projects and programs. This role requires scoping project plans developing processes coordinating and driving execution and communicating to leadership on status risks and process/product changes.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with teams across Amazon to identify opportunities and provide data driven decision support to improve capacity and material flow optimization tools material flow performance simulation and emulation of existing site performance.
Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities.
Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.
Leading project teams to plan organize and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
Owning the design and development of ongoing metrics key performance indicators reports dashboards to drive key business decisions.
Providing analytical network support to improve quality and standard work results.
Deep diving process breakdowns and providing recommendations to sustainably resolve issues.
Collaborating with BI/Data Engineer teams to develop new and existing data sources to continually improve data quality.
Fostering continuous improvement through mentoring feedback and metrics.
About the team
The NASC UndertheRoof Optimization Product Teams sole objective is to develop tools for under the roof simulation and optimization supporting the needs of our internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Capacity Planning Labor Planning NASC Engineering Finance Safety and Operations). We develop products and tools to evaluate whatif design and operations scenarios for new and existing sort centers to understand their robustness stability scalability and costeffectiveness. We conceptualize new data science solutions using optimization and machine learning platforms to analyze new and existing process identify and reduce nonvalue added steps and increase overall performance and rate.
5 years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelors degree
5 years of driving process improvements experience
Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
