Job Title: Purchasing Specialist II
Reports to: Director of Purchasing
Dept./School: Central Business Office
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Pay Grade: Clerical 6/239 Days

Primary Purpose:
Assist in the procurement of supplies and equipment for the district. Work under close supervision and follow established purchasing policies and procedures to process bids quotations and purchase orders.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of procedures for purchasing and invoicing supplies and equipment
Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner
Ability to analyze and organize a complex filing system of bidrelated documentation
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to use calculator (10key by touch)
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Five years clerical and accounting experience desired. TASBO certification or willingness to work toward TASBO certification.
